Have you considered nursing in Outpatient’s?


Some of the nursing skills needed for a rapid fast paced working area such as Outpatient’s are:

  • The ability to prioritise and plan work quickly and effectively
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of the wider Multidisciplinary Team
  • Flexibility in working hours to cover the ever changing clinical needs of the service.
  • Previous experience with Complex dressing skills to support; Vascular, Fracture and Dermatology clinics.
  • Surgical scrub skills with regards to assisting with Dermatological biopsy operations
  • An advocate for patient’s needs and requirements and possess strong problem solving skills.
  • The ability to be responsive, quick and forward thinking in clinics which undertake investigations such as: Nasoendoscopy, Rigid sigmoidoscopy, basic Lung function tests.
  • Dedication to mentoring students, current and new staff to the department.

We are requiring enthusiastic and motivated band 5 Registered Adult Nurses to work within our busy areas covering both Furness General & Ulverston Outpatient Departments to provide a high standard of care. Could you be part of this strong dedicated team, we have flexibility on the hours we can offer which can be discussed further at interview.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment
