Job overview

The post holder will support and co ordinate the weekly MDFT meetings and will ensure that all relevant information is available at the MDFT meetings enabling clinical decisions to be made.

 

Main duties of the job

1. To be responsible for the co-ordination of MDFT meetings in conjunction with the lead clinician.

2. To collate the list of patients for discussion at each meeting based on tracking information, referral emails and telephone messages from the MDFT members and secretaries.

3. To ensure all necessary documentation for the patients to be discussed are located and collected in advance of the meeting.

4. To attend MDFT meetings and keep records of discussions taking place including attendance records and the MDT outcome

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.

Essential and Desirable

Essential criteria
  • NVQ3 in Administration or equivalent experience
  • GCSE Maths and English or equicvalent
  • Experience working in Admin post
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL
  • Previous NHS Experience
  • Knowlwdge of NHS systems and processes
  • working knowledge of EMIS and LORENZO
  • Flexibility in working pattern

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
