We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Consultant working within General Surgery . The post is based at the Furness General Hospital, which is close to the beautiful Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and the seaside, as well as offering rail links to Manchester and London, so a great place to live and work!

This opportunity represents an ideal post for doctors committed to a career in general surgery . You will work as a member of the General Surgery / Colorectal / Upper GI Team to provide a high quality service that aims to deliver excellent patient care. You will work within the department alongside consultant, staff grade, trainee doctor and advanced nursing colleagues to deliver elective and emergency services, consistent with the Trust’s strategy and values. You will lead the team around emergency assessment, decision making, and elective and emergency operating.

In addition, the Trust is committed to the educational development of Surgical staff and was awarded the status of University Hospital in 2005.

There may be some assistance towards relocation expenses or travel costs.

You must hold full GMC with a licence to practice and be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of obtaining your CCT at the time of interview

Interview expenses will be paid from point of entry to the UK.
