An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic dietitian to join our friendly and supportive team. The post would be ideally suited to an experienced Band 5 Dietitian looking to expand their skills.
The successful applicant will work as part of a small team, with the support of experienced dietitians. The post covers a range of inpatient work including medical, surgical, orthopaedics, oncology and stroke management as well as outpatient clinics. As such you will gain experience in a wide range of clinical areas such as nutrition support, enteral feeding, gastroenterology and weight management. Opportunities to gain experience in dietetic specialist areas will be supported where appropriate.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period. This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
Applicants should be HCPC registered dietitians. The post will be based at Furness General Hospital and will involve travel to other sites within South Cumbria.
The department is approved for training both ‘B’ and ‘C’ placement dietetic students. We have excellent IT facilities and are committed to personal development and training.
