We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our Outpatient Physiotherapy team . The post holder will be based at Furness General Hospital with services also provided at Ulverston Health Centre. We also work closely with our Orthopaedic Consultants and GP colleagues as part of the Trust's Physiotherapy Service based within the locality.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to continue to develop your skills in MSK and to join an established multi-disciplinary team delivering specialist MSK services in both a secondary and primary care setting, then this could be the role for you.
As a Trust we actively support you to develop your knowledge and skills via our Annual Development Review programme. You will also have the opportunity to learn from a team of experienced Specialist and Advanced Physiotherapists through the in-service training programme and there is support for external courses.
We welcome applications from qualified physiotherapists with musculoskeletal experience and a valid HCPC registration.
Our primary focus is to deliver quality, patient-centred care which is evidenced based and sustainable for the future in an ever changing NHS landscape. To achieve this, we aim to give you the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive, dynamic and varied environment and to be involved in service development. We have a strong commitment to staff development and service improvement and provide regular supervision and in-service training.
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
