The role requires excellent communication skills and competence in in clinical skills, such as palliative care, wound care and the management of catheters. The district nurses work a 24hr service and there is an expectation that you may be required to support this to ensure service delivery.

You will need to work collaboratively with other professionals, voluntary sector and informal carers to promote excellent care to patients in their own homes and community setting.

You will be joining an enthusiastic and motivated team who are friendly and approachable. We are very patient focused and staff development is high on our agenda. As part of our team we want to develop all staff to the highest standard; you will receive regular one to one supervision meetings and an annual appraisal to support and monitor the development of valuable skills.
