Capital Projects Lead – Special Projects (12/18 Month Secondment)

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated Capital Projects Lead within the Capital Services Department. The job offers a wide variety of work experience with an interesting range of responsibilities, supporting the Capital Services Department in the delivery of key capital projects.

You will be working alongside the P21 Project Manager, Principle Supply Chain Provider, Sub-contractors and the Trust’s Capital Services Department, taking your place as part of the team and will share in the everyday challenges. If you have good technical and communication skills, and have the ability to work alone or part of a team, this role could offer a lot of opportunities.

As part of the Capital Projects Lead – Special Projects you will be expected to take on the role as Project Supervisor for the P21 project as defined within the NEC3 form of contract. Duties include checking that the works are in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications, and that the installation undergoes the required testing to ensure quality, making sure that any defects are brought to the attention of the contractor, recorded and actioned.

The role also includes establishing and maintaining site based records in respect of a number of project activities.

The successful candidate will be from an engineering background and have the ability to offer practical M&E advice and progress guidance to the wider project team.
