We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a specialty doctor working within Colorectal and General Surgery . The post is based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, which is close to the beautiful Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and the seaside, as well as offering rapid direct rail links to Manchester and London, so a great place to live and work!

This opportunity represents an ideal post for doctors committed to a career in general surgery with a wide range of potential skill development. Day to day work will cover both elective and emergency aspects of service with regular on call timetable as outlined in the job description. Our supportive and friendly environment, has proven track record in supporting individual career development and although not a training post, doctors maybe assigned a.  clinical supervisor who will provide support, career guidance and mentoring.

In addition, the Trust is committed to the educational development of Surgical staff and candidates will have access to study leave, exposure to clinics and theatres, teaching and have the opportunities to undertake audit and quality improvement work. Many previous colleagues have benefitted directly from career enhancing work undertaken in such posts.

There may be some assistance towards relocation expenses or travel costs.

Interview expenses will be paid from point of entry to the UK.

All applicants must hold full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
