''A great place to be cared for; a great place to work''

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay has been nationally recognised as the UK’s most inclusive NHS organisation. As such we have a firm commitment to strengthening the diversity of our workforce, and therefore welcome and encourage applications from likeminded people who can support our ambition to become effortlessly inclusive. We are particularly keen to hear from protected groups – including BAME, LGBT+ and people with a disability.

Job overview

We are seeking additional organisational development support for our cultural transformation activities over the next 12 months. This post will work closely with leaders and teams to ensure that our Behavioural Standards Framework is fully embedded; to really consider how individual and team behaviours impact on others; and enable all colleagues to contribute to a better working environment.

Main duties of the job

As Senior OD Facilitator you will focus on development and delivery of a variety of Organisational Development interventions across the Trust to support teams and individuals to work more effectively together. The work will include a range of OD interventions including: coaching; team diagnostics; workshop design and delivery; large scale listening events; cultural assessments; development training; programme design; presentations large and small; the use of improvement tools; and writing committee papers.

Working for our organisation

Our goal at Morecambe Bay is to provide the best possible care to our patients. We recognise that this is only possible in a positive culture, where every colleague feels valued, included and respected through leadership and engagement at all levels. It requires an integrated approach that reinforces that every individual matters.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will need to be a skilled listener, trainer, coach, and facilitator. You will be comfortable creating unique OD solutions using a wide range of methodologies from your tool-kit, but equally comfortable delivering ‘off-the-shelf’ development interventions. Working both independently and as part of a team you will need to be credible with people at all levels, from ward to board, and deliver impact from day one.

For full details of main responsibilities can be found in the attached job description and person specification for this role.
