A vacancy has arisen within the Histopathology department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary for a substantive full time band 2 Healthcare Science Assistant.

The duties will include receipt and computer entry of pathology samples, assisting Histopathologists with the dissection of samples and general laboratory maintenance.

You would ideally have some experience in Histopathology or general laboratory techniques although appropriate training will be given.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment
