These full-time posts are an exciting opportunity for doctors to join our department in the provision of general medical services, rotating through four specialities and participating on call rota.

The post is based at  Royal Lancaster Infirmary or Furness General Hospital within University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust (UHMB). The Trust provides an extensive range of acute, emergency and continuing care to a population of 350,000 in North Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Royal Lancaster Infirmary is a modern District General Hospital located in the City of Lancaster. It serves the population of North Lancashire and the surrounding part of South Cumbria ,Furness General Hospital (FGH) a District General Hospital situated on the fringe of the Lake District National Park

These posts are full time and fixed term for 12 months. This post is Monday - Friday 9-5.  The posts involve working at Foundation Year 2 and above level  and will optimise your clinical experience and enable you to gain relevant clinical competencies as outlined by Foundation training. During the education component of the role the post holder will work closely with the undergraduate administrative and clinical skills teams as well as the wider clinical education team to provide ward level support, bedside teaching and facilitate classroom based teaching for medical and physician associate students
