The Ophthalmology Team at Royal Lancaster Infirmary is looking to recruit a full time receptionist/ booking administrator
You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and prepared for the challenge of providing excellent customer service to the patients using the Out Patient Ophthalmology Department.
You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication and computer skills in a very busy and demanding environment; previous reception experience and knowledge of Lorenzo is an advantage but not essential.
You will be able to work as an effective team member, demonstrate effective communications skills both written and verbal and support the team in the delivery of patient focused care.
Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment
To give administrative support within the department and actively
participate in the running of the consultant Outpatient clinics. This
may involve the location and preparation of notes and the use of
the hospital administration system, and also providing a warm and
welcoming reception to patients
