We are looking for a Ward Clerk to join the team on our busy Medical ward at Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
Are you confident in dealing with service users and the general public? Are you flexible to meet the demands of a busy ward environment? Then we would love to hear from you!
This is a permanent part time position working 15 hours per week, flexibility is essential to meet the 24 hour needs of the service we provide. The role will be Wednesdays and Fridays initially to complement our ward clerk already in post.
As the first port of call you will provide a welcoming and professional approach to all members of the public and staff attending the ward. You must be confident and able to deal with sensitive, confidential information and queries in a sympathetic and reassuring manner.
As an administrative role, clerical skills are essential and whilst full training on the hospital system will be provided, you must be computer literate and able to work with minimal supervision to provide clerical and administrative support to the ward team.
Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory six month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
