Following a restructure and internal promotions, we are recruiting for a Deputy Care Group Finance Manager to support the Surgery & Critical Care Group.
Working closely with members of the Care Group Management Team, you will support the provision of all aspects of financial management and advice, including service modernisation and efficiency projects.
You will be an integral part of the Finance Team and coordinate workloads to ensure timely, accurate and relevant income, expenditure and activity reporting.
This role is an exciting opportunity for you to help forge the future of service delivery within UHMB.
You will report directly to the Care Group Finance Manager and support them in the provision of first class financial management advice.
We are looking for individuals with drive, the ability to deliver within tight deadlines and a positive approach to change management, capable of providing exceptional financial management support with the ability to explain complex financial information to both finance and non-finance staff in a concise and meaningful way.
We welcome applicants with suitable experience from an NHS background and those from other sectors.
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust covers a large geographic area which encompasses the Furness peninsula, the city of Lancaster and the Lake District. We provide a comprehensive range of acute and support hospital services to a population of 350,000 based around Morecambe Bay.
Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
