Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and profession nurse to join our integrated nursing  team here at Millom Community Hospital.

The post will be integrated between the in-patient ward and the community district nursing team and will be a permanent full time position.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this position will be to provide a very high standard of care and clinical nursing skills to in-patients here at Millom hospital along with the delivery of clinical skills and assessments to patients within the local community on the district nurse case load. This will be arranged on a rotation basis in line with service need.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking charge of the ward and will  be required to work with all multidisciplinary members to ensure discharges and all care deliveries are manged in a safe and professional manner.

Responsibilities of this role would include managing and delivering high standard nursing care and assessments to our ward  in-patients along with providing clinical interventions and assessments of patients in the community.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
